The METALEC™ (Metal Enhancement through Electrochemistry) Technology greatly reduces friction in metal-to-nonmetal applications. This is accomplished by enhancing metal surface integrity, which reduces surface adhesion and resulting material buildup. This also improves the metal’s resistance to abrasive wear.

METALEC™ works by removing nonmetallic impurities, which act as friction points, from the metal surface. The METALEC™ process is a low-temperature, liquid electrochemical treatment that effects the surface to a depth of 15 mils, but does not induce part distortion or any change in dimensions.
